Tips & Gratuities Clients often ask me who do I tip and how do I tip. The industry standard is about 10 % of the total cost of the trip. This amount is to be divided among everyone helping with the trip. This might mean the village chief, bus drivers, interpreter, in-country guide, American guide etc. We have found it easiest to pass and envelope at the appropriate time with a suggested amount if necessary. One our clients suggested this idea and it has worked great. Obviously you can give more or less based on how happy you are with the service. If you prefer to give tips personally that is also acceptable.
