New Trips 2010
Kayak Trips in Greece
As Odysseus set sail from Ithaca long ago, we'll embark on our own adventure in the Ionian Sea. For centuries, these historic, exquisite islands have fascinated dreamers, paddlers, and explorers. The clear turquoise waters touch uninhabited rocky beaches. Even without a paddle in your hand, it's easy to see how enticing the prospect of travelling in this ancient place can be.
We'll spend six days sea kayaking to the most beautiful and remote of the Ionian Islands. Ithaca, the home of Odysseus, awaits with the promise of modern day adventure. In the mornings we'll paddle, and in the afternoons and on free days, we'll hike mountain pathways, explore the colorful streets of whitewashed villages, and, of course, discover the quiet solitude of pristine beaches. We'll feast on Greek salads with feta cheese and calamata olives and finish with luxurious Greek pastries such as baklava. A Zodiac will accompany us to help carry the gear and act as a "sag wagon."
Adventure calls -- The scenery, history, food and mystique of ancient Greece will unfold as we paddle the Ionian Sea on our own odyssey!
