Day 1
Arrive in Croatia on or before this day. Pickup at airport and transport to hotel in historic Trogir. Dinner together and evening walk around Trogir.
Day 2
Get acquainted with the kayaks and paddling warm up. After breakfast we’ll spend the morning reviewing kayak techniques and safety. We’ll practice wet exits and rescues and go over efficient paddling. Lunch in town and bus over to Split for a tour of the old town and Dioclecious’ Palace. Dinner and shopping in Split and back to Trogir to our hotel.
Day 3
Today we’ll do a 4 to 5 hour paddle from Trogir exploring the bays and islands and estuaries nearby. After a late lunch we’ll have an optional guided tour of the historic district of Trogir and meet for dinner at our hotel.
Day 4
After breakfast we pack up and board the bus for a ride down the coast to Omish about 40kms from Split. We’ll launch our kayaks up stream on the Cetina R. and paddle down the 5 miles to the Cetina Canyon and into the town of Omish where our boat will be moored in the harbor. We board the mother boat for the first time and have lunch while underway toward the island of Hvar. Tonight we’ll dine at a restaurant on the board walk in Hvar town and browse the shops and clubs of this sophisticated old city.
Day 5 through Day 10
Each day will present a new island, new coast to explore, new towns to discover and browse and new glimpses into the long history of these islands and the people who live here.
Day 11
We say good bye to our Captain and crew and depart back in our minibus to Split for one last night in Croatia. After a lovely farewell dinner we are free to browse the old Roman city or head off to bed to be ready for an early morning flight home.
Day 12
Transport to the airport and flights back home.
