Greece Itinerary
Day 1
We meet in our Hotel in Athens for a short walk to dinner in a traditional taverna in the La Playka district within sight of the Acropolis.
Day 2
After breakfast we travel by air conditioned mini bus through the Greek countryside to the western shores on the Ionian sea.  On the way we cross the historic Corinth Canal and   cross the famous Bridge of Rio.  If time permits we may fit our kayaks and have a short paddling instruction session before dinner.   This night we camp under the stars at  Vasiliki on the island of Lefkada.
 Day 3
Our first paddling day finds us heading east to the island of Meganisi and stopping at the famous Papanicolis Cave for a short break and swim.  We then head north to our camping destination on Thilia. After setting up our tent camp we have free time for snorkeling or swimming before we ride the zodiac to the island of Meganisi for dinner.
Day 4
After breakfast we cross to the village of Frikes on the historic island of Ithaca.  On the way to the fabled island home of Odysseus we stop for a lunch break on the island of Arkoudi.  We spend the evening in a Hotel and enjoy dinner at a taverna on the harbor.
 Day 5
Today we hike to the small mountain village of Stavros where we may visit a park and small museum dedicated to Odysseus.  Then down to the village of Polis where we can swim, snorkel and/or relax on  the beach opposite the island of Kefalonia.  The rest of the day is free before our dinner that evening on the harbor.  We again spend the evening at our Hotel in Frikes.
 Day 6
Today we paddle north from Frikes around the coast of  Ithaca to the beautiful white sand beaches of Aphales.  Here we snorkel, relax and eat our lunch before returning to our Hotel in Frikes.  If we have time before dinner we will take a zodiac ride to the picturesque village of Kioni for the traditional Greek frappe or the beverage of your choice.
 Day 7
Today finds us rising early for our longest day of paddling.  If  the gods are with us we will paddle the full 20 miles to our campsite on a beautiful pebble beach on the island of Kalamos.  If they are against us we may save a few miles and camp on the island of Kastos.  Either way we stop for our lunch break on the beautiful and interesting island of Atokos and in the evening ride the zodiac to our dinner in the village of Kalamos.
 Day 8
Today we either make the short paddle to Kalamos and then have our free time or have the entire day to devote to swimming, snorkeling, hiking, and exploring by zodiac.  Tonight we camp under the stars on Kalamos and again take the zodiac to dinner.
 Day 9
Our last paddling day is a relaxing trip around the end of Kalamos island and then a short crossing back to the mainland village of Mytikas enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way.  We leave our kayaks for the bus ride to the coastal town of Nafpaktos or Marathias where we have lunch and some free time before dinner and checking into our Hotel or lodge.
 Day 10
Today we return by bus to Athens stopping on the way to visit the museum and archeological site at Delphi.  We have our own tour guide who explains the history and unlocks the mystery of the Oracle.  After checking back in to our Hotel in Athens we head out one last time for a walk around the old part of town and our farewell dinner.
 Day 11
Today finds us heading back to our homelands refreshed, renewed, and with a new perspective.
